After a tough start to their season, Henley welcomed high flying Trojans to Jubilee Park.
Henley were missing a number of key players, but matched the visitor’s intensity in the early stages, and took the lead through a fine poachers finish from Chris Green. Trojans high intensity approach however began to bear fruit, and - once again for Henley - on the stroke of half time, the opposition scored through a penalty corner.
The second half began as the first ended, with Trojans piling on the pressure. Henley were able to withstand this pressure with equal numbers on the pitch, however an unfortunate yellow card to George Farthing lead to a short corner and another goal for the away side. Trojans made their numerical advantage count, scoring an additional 2 goals with Henley down to 10, and put the game to bed.
A string of fine saves and some last ditch defending kept the scores at 4-1, but Henley were unable to find a way back into the game, and so it finished.
Henley will look to next weekend where they travel to newly promoted Amersham and Chalfont which is surely a must win game for the boys in Amber.
